Its a Traditional type of honey cake called Pryanik that is crafted in a factory in the town. There is a museum where they are displayed. The smallest being the size of a coin and the largest weighing 16 kg. Look at the link it's very interesting.

A place to sit and cool off?
Snow thicket houses where the small birds hide
Nice day in the park
Packs of wild dogs roam around looking for food. Here they are around the heating pipes. Sometimes there are up to 8 in a pack.
Fun in the kindergarten school yard
Feeding the small birds

Our path is disappearing under mounds of snow drifts
There was a path here last night!

Lenny Long legs goes Shopping

"Such a fine afternoon for an outing to the shops,"said Lenny. It was a much warmer afternoon and many mothers and grandmothers were out pushing prams and the little children were having fun digging in the soft snow with their plastic spades and making snow castles beside the path. The teenagers were skiing on the soccer field and the old ladies were out carrying home their shopping. It was minus 5 degrees.
Wise people look up cautiously as they walk by buildings as long jagged icicles hang dangerously from roof tops and balconies and can drop when you least expect it. Lenny know that its very wise to look down and note where the path is icy so you wont slip and look up to keep out of the way of falling ice.
Lenny has a keen eye for a good loaf of Russian bread too! It must be solid and full of goodness to fill the tummy on cold winter days. The good solid wholemeal loaf under his right foot takes a bit of cutting but it makes the tummy happy for quite a while. The rye loaf that Lenny is sitting on is full of goodness too and one slice will stop you feeling hungry! They will fill his hollow legs and are a good price too at less than 60 cents per loaf.Lenny is very happy!

Eggs are always a good buy for a quick meal. Ten eggs cost around 50 cents and these are lovely brown ones too! Frozen peaches and plums and berries make a nice treat so Lenny gets some of these as well.

The Avocado looked great but because they have traveled so far from Brazil....yuck! Not very good!
"Oh well ....can't win every time," he thought.
Lenny bought an ice cream to eat while he sat in the park on the way home...what a treat!
But it wasn't from Baskin Robbins!
