The Aristocats...Palace cats!

It had more than one room and 2 or 3 more,
and many fine stair cases, windows and doors.
               It was
                             ENORMOUS!
                                          In fact.................it had:
                                              1,500 rooms
                                               117 stair cases
                                                         1,945 windows and
                                                                        1,786 doors!

"A palace this large must be filled with beautiful things,"
said the Queen. So she gathered many treasures from distant       lands till there were so many she found it hard to count them all.

Paintings by great artists adorned all the walls,
and sculptures and vases filled the great halls.
                Dazzling chandeliers lit parquetry floors.
There were rich velvet curtains and large golden doors!
          With Rubens' & Rembrants', Renoir's & Ruisdael
It started to look like a grand fairy tale!

da Vinci was added and so was Cezanne.
Picasso and Degas and works by Gauguin
Matisse and Monet of course were there too.
The Queens priceless treasures  just grew and grew.....

   In fact............ there were:
                        3 million treasures
                                            and 20 times more!

"Ah!what a beautiful palace," said the Queen!

But one day, when all was as quiet as a ..........

                        "E-e-e-e-k!
there's a mouse in the house," said the Queen to her maid.
"OH NO...........not a mouse in this enormous house. That will not do," she said.

 But soon there were more.................
                                  Two became four.
                                  Four became eight
and then there were more and more
                                  Mice everywhere!
                                  Mice by the score!

                              They filled up the cellar
                                and ran down the halls
                              all through the treasures
                                and up and down walls.
There were mice on the statues
                                and mice on the stairs...
                           there were mice
                                                     EVERYWHERE!

"Enough!"
said the Queen,"something has to be done!"

She summoned her wise men who thought up a plan,
to find  the best mouse hunters in all of the land.

Five of the furriest and purriest  cats to be seen
were brought to the palace to present to the Queen.

"Meow!" said the cats, "Sniff! Sniff!......
there's a mouse in the house!"
                                        The chase began.......
"Squeek!" said the mice, "Oh no! Not cats!
                     There's cats in the house!"
Pitter patter of mouse paws, away they ran.
They try to escape as fast as they can.
Into the Throne Room and round and round,
along the halls and up stairs and down.

They chased them here and they chased them there

All through the treasures and and EVERYWHERE!

Then one day all was as quiet as a ............. ,
Not even a mouse squeak could be heard in the house.
"Well done!" said the Queen, and the King came to see.
"What fine cats they have proven to be!"

The cats were now heroes not a mouse to be seen.
The King was so proud and so was the Queen.

As a reward, a special announcement was made by the King:
It read:
"I hereby declare, that it is the Rulers will, that the hero cats be granted a monthly allowance for food from the Empires treasury."
                                                 ....and it was so!

From then on the cats lived happily in the house...that ENORMOUS house!
                                          with ......
                          1,500 rooms
                    117 stair cases
                       1,945  windows and
                           1,786  doors!

Soon there was a kitten!

But then there were MORE.................
                                  Two became four.
                                  Four became eight
and then there were more and more
                                  kittens EVERYWHERE!
                                  kittens by the score!

They played and they frolicked and had kitten fun
and curled up on royal chairs and dozed in the sun.
They ate the royal food and licked their bowls clean
and slept in the Throne Room and purred for the Queen.

                      Palace cats
                          Fat cats
                               Aristocats
                                    warm and cuddly cats.
      "Cats are nice,cats are funny,
cats are gentle, cats are soft, cats are purry and most importantly," said the Queen,"they never have a negative word to say."
....and so it is, to this day...the palace cats, hero cats live happily in the ENORMOUS house that has
                              1,500 rooms
                                               117 stair cases
                                                         1,945 windows and
                                                                        1,786 doors!
                                                               Meow!
"Squeak" ....oh no not another mouse!
