Last week when we were on Moscow we visited this place. It was a hot day but the walks in the gardens were cool and very pleasant. The Cemetery near the convent is where many famous Russians are buried. Among them is Sergey Prokofiev, Aleksandr Skryabin, Dimitry Shostakovich and former Premier Nikita Kruschev. It has beautiful peaceful grounds and is surrounded by a fortified wall and situated beside a lake.It's history dates back to 1524.
